Welcome to Clever Little Cart. This guide takes you from signing up to taking your first order. Most shops are ready in an afternoon.
1. Sign up
Choose a plan on the pricing page, name your shop and pay in the secure form on the same page. Your shop is built in a few minutes, and you get an email with a link to set your password and sign in to your dashboard.
Your shop gets three addresses straight away:
| Address | |
|---|---|
| Your online shop | yourshop.myshop.cleverlittlecart.com |
| Your dashboard | yourshop-admin.myshop.cleverlittlecart.com |
| Your POS | yourshop-pos.myshop.cleverlittlecart.com |
You can connect your own domain whenever you like.
2. Follow the setup checklist
The first page of your dashboard is the Setup checklist: everything a shop needs before it can take an order, and what is still missing. Work down it. Each item opens the screen where you set it.
3. Tell us about your business
Under Settings → Business profile, give your legal name, address and registration numbers. They appear on your invoices and legal pages, so get them right. Set your VAT registration under Settings → Tax.
4. Make it look like you
Under Settings → Branding, add your logo, colours and fonts. Then build your homepage under Homepage, add pages such as About us, and set your menus under Navigation. See The website, step by step.
5. Add your products
Add products one at a time under Products → New product, or bring them all in at once from a spreadsheet or another shop with Import. See Products, step by step and Importing.
6. Get paid
Add a way to be paid on Add-ons: Stripe for cards and the ways each country pays, and Bank transfer for customers who pay from their bank. Its Settings button opens its own page, where you connect your account. Payments go straight to you, and we take no cut or commission. Settings → Payments lists the payment add-ons you have and sets up cash on delivery.
7. Set up delivery
Under Shipping, set the zones you deliver to and their rates. If customers can collect from your shop, set that up under Store locations and Settings → Click and collect.
8. Your legal pages
Under Legal documents, your shop has ready-made terms, privacy and returns pages to adapt to your business. They are your shop's documents, for your customers. Check them, and ask a professional if you are unsure.
9. Go live
When the checklist is complete, place a test order, then open your shop to customers. Share your address, and start selling.
