Your shop's website is built from parts you arrange in the dashboard, with no code. Start from a template, then make it yours.
Start from a template
Templates, under Content, gives your shop a finished look in one click: colours, fonts, corners and a homepage to start from. There are 15 free templates and 12 premium ones, and each has a sample shop to look round. A premium template is bought once from Templates at the price on its card, added to your next invoice and yours for good, or included on plans that say so. Your logo, menus, pages and custom CSS stay as they are. Go back to my design from before puts back what you had.
The website editor
The website editor builds the homepage, and your own pages, from blocks you drag onto a live canvas of your shop. There are more than fifty, in groups:
- Pictures and words: hero banners, slideshows, image and text, lookbook photos and slideshows, image tiles, picture cards, photo galleries, video, before and after, testimonials, countdowns and logo strips.
- Text and layout: text, pull quotes, icons with words, numbers, timelines, team, comparison tables, calls to action, buttons, scrolling words and spacers.
- Products: chosen products, new arrivals, best sellers, sale, products in tabs, one product, shop the look, hotspots, categories, collections, brands, customer reviews and recently viewed.
- About the shop: your shops with opening hours, a map, contact details, gift cards, loyalty points, payment and trust badges, social links, delivery prices, returns, a size chart, questions and answers, a newsletter signup and Instagram.
Click a block and its settings open on the right in three groups. Content holds its words, pictures and buttons, with its layout choices. Look gives any block a background (your colours, a colour of your own, a gradient or a photograph), a fade into the page, the colour of its words, a card shape with corners, an outline and a shadow, its width, how it arrives as it scrolls into view, and a name to link to it. Spacing sets the room around it.
Every block can be scheduled to appear and disappear, and shown on phones only or computers only. Preview the page, publish it when it is ready, and put back an earlier version from its history.
Product pages and product lists
Page layouts arranges the pages the shop builds for you: every product page, and the lists of all products, categories, brands, collections and the sale. Each page's own parts are already there, such as the product itself, its reviews and the products and filters on a list. Around them, drag in blocks of your own, such as a banner above the product, delivery prices under it or a size chart. A category, brand or collection can have a layout of its own, for example a banner on Women only.
Your pages
Pages holds your own pages, such as About, FAQ or Size guide. Each is written from blocks: headings, text, images, buttons, questions and answers that Google can show, and every block of the website editor. A page can be published, scheduled or taken down, and each has its own title and description for Google and for sharing.
Menus
Navigation holds three menus: the main menu across the top, the mobile menu behind the ☰ button, and the footer columns. Items can have badges, highlight colours and picture tiles. The scrolling announcement above the header is set on Banners.
Colours, fonts and logo
Settings → Branding holds your logo (with a version for the dark theme), colours, fonts, the shop's look and how much it moves, and custom CSS for anything else.
