Clever Little Cart should work for everybody who shops with, or runs, a shop on it: with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or the colours and motion turned down. This statement covers this website, the shops' dashboard and till, and the shop websites built on Clever Little Cart.
The standard we aim for
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, at level AA, the level the European accessibility standard EN 301 549 builds on.
Where we are
Partly conformant: most of what we have checked meets the standard, and what does not yet is below. We check new screens as they are built, and the whole site again before each major release.
What every page has:
- a link to skip straight to the main content, and a main landmark to jump to;
- dialogs that hold the keyboard while they are open and give it back when they close;
- every form field labelled, and errors said in words, not only in colour;
- text that keeps its contrast in both the day and the night theme;
- animation that stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
What is not accessible yet
- Template previews: on a template's page, the sample shop's pictures are pictures. The words around them say what each one shows.
- Card payments: the card form and the bank's own check (3-D Secure) are Stripe's pages, not ours, and Stripe is responsible for them.
- PDF invoices and receipts may not be read in order by every screen reader. Ask us and we will send the details another way.
- The till is made for a touch screen at a counter. It works with a keyboard, but some of its screens are quicker by touch.
