Everything you need to run your shop

Step-by-step guides to every part of your dashboard, the POS, importing from another shop, and your own domain.

Start here

Getting startedFrom sign-up to your first sale: the steps every new shop goes through.

The dashboard, step by step

Getting startedSigning in, two-factor codes, the Overview page, finding your way around the dashboard, your profile and notifications, and the setup checklist for a new shop.
Staff, roles and securityInviting your team, choosing what each person can do with roles and permissions, keeping your own account safe, and reading the audit log.
ProductsAdding, editing and selling products: photos, sizes and colours, prices, stock codes and barcodes, labels, and changing many products at once.
Categories, brands, collections and photosHow customers find their way around the shop: the category tree and the menu built from it, brands, collections, the shared list of sizes and colours, and the media library.
Orders and paymentsFinding orders, reading what happened to one, and everything you can do to it: taking cash on delivery, refunding, cancelling, correcting it, and printing its paperwork.
Packing, delivery, collection and returnsGetting paid orders packed and sent, handing click and collect orders over the counter, dealing with returns, and setting where you deliver and what it costs.
Customers and live chatLooking people up, what their record shows, helping them with their account, handling their privacy requests, and answering them on live chat.
Stock and locationsHow much you have and where it is: reading the stock screen, correcting and moving stock, low-stock warnings, stock counts, your shops and warehouses, and the waiting list for sold-out sizes.
Purchase orders and suppliersKeeping a list of who you buy from, deciding what to reorder, and following a purchase order from draft to delivery so the stock lands on the shelf with the right cost.
The counter, from the back officeSetting up POS registers, and checking from the dashboard what each shop took, whether every cash drawer balanced, the sealed Z readings with their VAT, and the stock counts the counter has asked for.
Discounts, gift cards and marketingDiscount codes and automatic offers, batches of one-use codes, gift cards, loyalty points, the newsletter, banners, and the reviews and questions customers leave on product pages.
The website: homepage, pages and menusBuild the homepage from sections, write pages like About and FAQ, arrange the menus, edit the emails customers receive, publish your legal documents and point old addresses at new ones.
ReportsWhat the sales, products, customers, profit and VAT reports show, how every figure is worked out, and how to build, save and export reports of your own.
Importing and exportingBring products, customers, stock, photographs and order history in from another shop — checking every row before anything is written — and take any of it back out as a file, once or on a schedule.
Scheduled work, health and errorsThe work the shop does on its own in the background, how to tell whether the shop, the dashboard and the POS are up, and what to do when something goes wrong.
SettingsEvery screen under Settings, field by field: who the business is, how the shop looks, how people pay, what they are emailed, which features are switched on, and what each choice changes for your customers.

The POS, step by step

Setting up and signing in to the POSOpening the POS on a counter computer or tablet, telling it which counter it is, signing it in for the day and saying who is serving.
Selling at the POSRinging up a sale: scanning and searching, the basket, prices and discounts, taking cash, card, gift cards and points, receipts, today’s sales and looking an item up.
Returns and collections at the POSTaking things back and refunding them over the counter, and handing over click and collect orders: what to check and what the POS will refuse.
Cash, the drawer and end of dayOpening the cash drawer with a float, paying money in and out, counting and closing it, the Z reading, and the end-of-day figures for the shop.
Offline, printers and the customer screenWhat the POS does when the internet drops and how offline sales are sent later, setting up the receipt printer, the customer-facing display, full screen, brightness and checking the version.

Importing

Importing from another shopBring in products, customers, stock, orders and photos.
Importing productsOne row per size, which is what every platform exports. Rows sharing a handle become one product.
Importing customersWith addresses and marketing consent. Passwords come across only where the hash can be read; everybody else is invited to set one.
Importing stock countsQuantities against SKUs the shop already has. Either a stock take or a delivery — you say which on the next screen.
Importing order historyPast orders, so the shop does not open with an empty customer history and last year missing from the figures. One row per item, rows sharing an order number becoming one order.
Importing product imagesA spreadsheet with a column of web addresses, or a zip of photographs named after their SKUs.
